Homemade Strawberry Jam: Video Tutorial

Learn how to make the most simple and delicious strawberry jam! This recipe is perfect to make with strawberries beginning to turn old. You can truly taste the difference between homemade and store-bought jam, and it only takes a matter of minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces strawberries with stems removed, coarsely chopped

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, mix strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. Stir over medium-low heat until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. Increase heat to medium high and bring mixture to a rolling boil.

  4. Stir frequently, mashing the strawberries as you stir. Boil until the jam is thickened (about 10 minutes).

  5. Transfer jam to a jar and let cool to room temperature.

  6. Seal jars and store in refrigerator for about 10 days (or freeze).
