Strawberry Jam

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces strawberries with stems removed, coarsely chopped

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, mix strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. Stir over medium-low heat until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. Increase heat to medium high and bring mixture to a rolling boil.

  4. Stir frequently, mashing the strawberries as you stir. Boil until the jam is thickened (about 10 minutes).

  5. Transfer jam to a jar and let cool to room temperature.

  6. Seal jars and store in refrigerator for about 10 days (or freeze).
